IsraelOtherEveryday Dairy 20 min 8 servings Easy

A beloved Israeli no-bake home dessert made from crushed tea biscuits, cocoa, butter, milk, and sugar. The mixture is rolled into small balls and coated in coconut or sprinkles, making it a classic children's treat and party sweet.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups tea biscuits or graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut or chocolate sprinkles, for coating

Instructions

  1. 1

Crush the tea biscuits into fine crumbs with a few slightly larger bits for texture.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix the biscuit crumbs, cocoa powder, and sugar.

  3. 3

Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla until the mixture forms a soft, moldable dough.

  4. 4

If the mixture is too loose, chill it for 10 to 15 minutes before shaping.

  5. 5

Roll the mixture into small balls of even size.

  6. 6

Coat each ball in shredded coconut or sprinkles.

  7. 7

Arrange on a tray and refrigerate until firm.
